Lore Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Lore. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and
Conditions.
2. Eligibility
- Consumers (Users): You must be at least 12 years old to use Lore. If you are between 12 and 17,
you may use Lore only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees
to these Terms.
- Brands (Sellers): To sell on Lore, you must be at least 18 years old or a legally registered
business entity capable of entering binding agreements.
3. Types of Sellers
Lore provides three seller categories:
1. Normal Sellers – No commission charged.
2. Boosted Sellers – Sellers opting for advertising/boosting features; 5% commission applies to
sales.
3. Purpose-Driven Brands – Sellers promoting social causes; displayed in a dedicated section.
All sellers remain fully responsible for their content, products, quality, authenticity, and compliance
with applicable laws.
4. Account Registration
- Brands must provide accurate information, undergo KYC verification, and maintain updated
records.
- Consumers may register via Google, Apple, or phone number login.
- Lore reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
5. Role of Lore
- Lore is not liable for product defects, misrepresentations, damages, delays, or non-performance.
- Lore acts solely as a platform provider, mediator, and payment facilitator.
- All content uploaded by brands is their sole responsibility.
6. Payments and Fees
- Payments are securely processed via Razorpay.
- Consumers pay: Product price set by the brand + a fixed convenience fee per order
(non-refundable).
- Sellers pay: 0% commission (Normal sellers), 5% commission (Boosted sellers).
- Refunds (if eligible) are processed through Razorpay subject to brand approval and Shiprocket
return confirmation. Lore may deduct convenience fees from refunds.
7. Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
- Shipping is facilitated through Shiprocket or equivalent logistics partners.
- Sellers must ensure timely order fulfillment and accurate product information.
- Returns and exchanges:
- Only accepted if clearly allowed in the seller’s policy.
- Refunds/exchanges are initiated once the seller confirms product receipt and condition.
- Lore is not liable for disputes; responsibility rests with the brand.
8. Advertising & Promotion
- Boosted sellers may purchase promotional placements within the app.
- Advertising fees and commissions are non-refundable.
9. Personalised Feed
- Consumer feeds are personalised using algorithms based on purchase history, browsing, likes,
and engagement.
- Lore may use consumer data (non-sensitive, anonymised where possible) to improve
recommendations.
10. Intellectual Property
- Brands retain ownership of their product images, descriptions, and content.
- By uploading, brands grant Lore a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote such
content on the platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
- Lore is not responsible for product quality, legality, authenticity, safety, delivery delays, damages,
or losses.

- Lore’s maximum liability, if any, shall not exceed the convenience fee collected on the disputed
order.
12. Termination
- Lore may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, or misuse.
- Sellers remain liable for pending orders and disputes even after termination.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall first be addressed via mediation with Lore’s support team.
- Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, India.
